The 2005 range starts at CP5047001 and ends at CP5301000. All three numbers begin with CP, so compare the seven digits that follow: 5,047,001 is the start of the range, 5,071,716 is the number from CP5071716, and 5,301,000 is the end. Because 5,071,716 is greater than the starting number and smaller than the ending number, CP5071716 belongs to the 2005 range. Therefore, its approximate manufacture year is 2005.
Enter the model number as well. The published CP ranges apply to Weil-McLain boilers, but they do not work for every boiler model or for the company’s other products. The model helps Appliage decide whether it can use these ranges.
Find the Age of Your Weil-McLain Boiler with Appliage
Copy Both the CP Number and Boiler Model
The CP number may appear on the rating plate, boiler jacket, or a label near the control compartment. Copy the CP prefix and every digit. If only six digits follow CP, add a zero immediately after CP before entering the number. For example, enter CP123456 as CP0123456. If you cannot find the number, use Weil-McLain’s CP location reference guide for your boiler model.
Turn off power before opening a removable boiler panel. Do not disturb the burner, gas piping, venting, hot surfaces, or sealed controls to find the label.
Enter the CP Number without Spaces
Type CP and all seven digits into Appliage. Our decoder compares the complete number with Weil-McLain’s published ranges, and if it matches one row, the result shows one approximate manufacture year. If the number matches two rows or does not match any row, the result explains why it cannot return one year. Enter the model too so our decoder can check whether the CP ranges apply to your boiler.

Why CP7886500 Returns Two Years
The published 2020 range ends at CP7886915, while the 2021 range begins at CP7886196. For example, the CP number CP7886500 is higher than the 2021 starting number and lower than the 2020 ending number. Both ranges contain it, so Appliage lists 2020 and 2021.

Enter the complete CP number in Weil-McLain’s official lookup to check whether the manufacturer has more specific information. When a record is available, the lookup can return a manufacture date and other product information. The public range guide by itself cannot choose between 2020 and 2021.
CP Numbers in the 1990–1991 Gap
The 1990 row ends at CP2050000, while the 1991 row begins at CP2056001. For example, the CP number CP2052000 is in neither published range. Therefore, Appliage returns no manufacture year instead of placing it in an adjacent row.
Numbers below CP1414001 also return no year because Weil-McLain’s published table begins there in 1988.
If the official lookup cannot find your CP number, Weil-McLain directs owners who need the boiler’s age to call its Warranty Department at 1-800-654-2109, Option 4.
Weil-McLain Models the CP Ranges Cannot Date
AquaBalance CP numbers are not sequential. Weil-McLain also states that its lookup does not provide manufacture information for EG and EGH models. Appliage returns no age for those models even when the CP number appears inside one of the published yearly ranges.
The CP ranges in this article also do not date a control, baseboard product, or indirect water heater. The model number tells Appliage whether the CP number belongs to a boiler that uses these ranges.
